I’ve seen this mostly to be true. It’s odd. I’ve seen many dota accounts with 3 total games in their libraries. Me? 111 and counting in just my Steam library, but meh. To each his own.

They are interesting. One thing I can say is that dota players in general – only play dota. Some are far more casual in their approach, like myself – but we are few. And they are many. They are legion. And they will gank you in mid bro! Right after saying something about how you should delete the same game that they probably should have deleted ages ago for their mental and physical health.

locally CoDs popularity has dropped severely.
the games always have a massive launch, but not even a week after, the number of people online at any given time has dropped by more than half.
that is indicitive of atleast 50% of CoD players playing other games. most likely battlefield and cs:go.

dota is a massive time sink, when each average-good player has 2000 hours+ invested into the game, there isnt much time for anyhting else.
the game encourages growth and growth requires time.

the statistic is thrown off by smurf accounts and trader/scammer accounts.
if you were to deactivate all the accounts that hadnt been used in 6 months, the statistic would probably change drastically.
the torchlight stat is also deceptive, as its been on every steam sale for the past 3 years or something.
stats are cool and stuff, but if they are hardly ever accurate. and always deceptive.
I play dota and own 95 games on steam, most of the guys i play with own more than that.
