Well, it’s another week that is finished and over with. And if you’re in the Jozi vicinity, then you’re probably getting ready for Metallica tomorrow night. So remember, wear black, have a zippo ready for Nothing Else Matters and prepare to gimme foo, gimme fyah, gimme jibba jabba jaiah!

I do fully concur. I was there yesterday. Ears were ringing afterwards…I think the venue change was good for the sound.

      It was fucking awesome!!!

Sounds like it was brilliant. I’ve been kind of turned off concerts lately after I went to U2, I didn’t think the sound was very good.

I have not heard one good thing about the sound in Cape Town Staduim. Hence I am glad that they moved it to Bellville Veladrome, which has a roof over.

Problem with Velodrome is the acoustics. That place plays havoc with sound, especially the further you get from the stage (even more so if you get the southeaster ripping through). Sound bounces all over the place and in places creates a dampening effect.

I liked to see Metallica but the venue was terrible. Grand West would have been perfect.

Holy crap, if I remember back to Rammstein and the sound quality and then think back on my experiences on Wednesday, then it brings a tear to my eye…

Rammstein rocked the shit outta the Dome, best concert I have ever been to, ever. Off to Metallica tomorrow and if they are even half as good, they’ll be awesome… just not epic.

I found the sound to be quite good. We were sitting in the South 2 area. I guess it helped that there was no wind. I still think it was a better choice then the Stadium. Grand West would probably have been better though.

Wish I saw Rammstein. When I wanted to buy tickets, they were sold out. Last person I saw performing at Grand West was Kelly Clarkson. Don’t you judge me!! Wife got free tickets.

Agreed, the sound was amazing. I watched Linken Park at the stadium, was so bad you couldn’t hear the lyrics!

What was that all about? I had golden circle tickets so we didn’t wait at all, but saw this huge ass line to which I said ‘ahh, the peasents line’ 😉

Hahaha yeah, we formed a new golden circle in the parking lot. I was in that parking lot for an hour and a half, but the mood was good. People were jovial. We even had one of the vendors selling “Bon Jovi popcorn”, which got a huge pop from the crowd.

If you walked past a 4 foot tall oke with a top hat, that was me. I also had a call of duty t-shirt on because I thought it would be ironic.

I went on Thursday and they seem to have had there crowd problems sorted out by then. No standing in the line at all. Also heard about people standing for an hour and a half in the line the previous day.

He was actually here in Cape Town as part of the Nando’s Comedy Festival last year.

      Google…. Michael Winslow.

The guy is amazing. He blows Pablo Franscisco out of the water.
