Infamous SS

What does gold mean exactly? It means that the game is finished, wrapped up and good to go according to Sucker Punch’s Brian Fleming. No delays, no setbacks and no missed street dates. InFAMOUS: Second Son will make its March 21 release for the PlayStation 4.

In my experience, Kalahari is a lot slower with delivery than some other online retailers. As an example:

Official release date: 21 March (according to Wikipedia)

        TakeAlot: Shipped 20 Mar, 2014
Kalahari: Expected delivery date: 31 March 2014

Some of us, *cough* me *cough* , live outside a major metropolitan area so we have to add a day or two to the “Expected delivery date”, because Kalahari decided 24 hour delivery is only for major metropolitan areas.

Shit, the only reason I bought from them was because of the vouchers.

Me too. In most cases Kalahari actually has the best prices on games, but they changed their shipping policy in recent years and now it takes longer (in my experience). I have found that they might ship before the listed date, but if you are in a rush to get the game launch day, it is better to pay extra and rather order from Takealot or BTgames – the former being more consistent with delivery.

That said, the vouchers and the already discounted games made it totally worth buying form Kalahari, despite the possible delay.

(Side note: this is not a Kalahari diss or a promotion for Takealot. I am just sharing my experiences)

I always go to BT Games, this will teach me a lesson in betrayal

Sometimes you have to shop with your wallet, not your heart….

But don’t let me discourage you from picking up those delicious Kalahari specials. I am generalizing. Lets see how this turns out.

Guys, there is a reason – Kalahari is based in South Africa. I used it for the vouchers and discounts – I can guarantee the one you preordered won’t come with the DLC due to it being form outside the US, therefore not the Limited Edition. The collectors edition can be bought there for cheaper than the Limited Edition using vouchers, but the overseas shipping will see it with a late arrival date. I’m from Britain, dunno if you guys are or not, but it will be worth the wait if you’re saving £20+, and with the collectors edition, it’s gone from £80 UK to £55 Kalahari. I’m willing to wait 10 days for that.

            Hi Mikey,

Yeah, we are South African. It was totally worth preordering InFamous at Kalahari, but even us locals have to wait a bit longer for our delivery if we live outside a major metropolitain area. Personally I don’t mind the wait. I was merely pointing out that if we want release day delivery, Kalahari is not the best bet (in my experience).

I was hoping for an announcement of more powers. Not so keen on “neon”. But anyway. Maybe some water powers. Smoke on the water? Hehe

They’ve already confirmed more powers than just Neon and Smoke, they’re simply keeping them under wraps.
