Is Home coming in October?

Is it finally going to arrive?

PlayStation Home has been just around the corner for quite some time now but is the long wait nearly over?

The rumours is that we can expect Home to land alongside Firmware 2.50 in October 2008.

I know I am opening myself up for yet more flaming now but I am going to say it anyway. Does anyone really want Home anymore? The sneaky video’s have been far from entertaining and the entire idea behind Home doesn’t seem to have convinced many people.

It seems slow, clunky and very much not ready for the mass market, but Sony needs it out before Christmas and they may just push it out early and attempt to patch it in time.

Please excuse my ignorance, but is this going to be a free download?
I’m also not that hyped for it Lazy. It looks like a very cumbersome browser/interface thingy. I’ll be happy if I’m proved wrong.

Pricing has not been announced but it is going to have to be free… otherwise it has no chance..

I expect it to be the new PS3 online interface really..

Home is going to be a nice-to-have. I’m rather looking forward to GOW2 and Little Big Planet.

It’s free and it’s optional. How bad can it be? All i want is a trophy room, i never planned on launching games from inside Home.

Besides it’s still a thousand times better than the idiotic Mii rip offs MS are giving us 🙁
