Is that a Titan in your pocket?

Last month, Darryn told us that Attack on Titan was getting a video game.  However, much like the American approach to national security, he couldn’t tell us when or how.  Now, we have details, without needing to interrogate anyone.

Shingeki no Kyojin: Attack on Titan is a popular anime about the last settlement of humans who live in walled cities and are frequently attacked by carnivorous giants.  Ah, I love anime – only in that context would it all make sense.  Now it is getting a game on 3DS.

The game is coming from Spike Chunsoft, the same development house that brought you Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity, as well as handled the localization to Japan for games such as The Witcher 2 and Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.  Despite getting more details about this 3DS game, we still don’t know much.  While it seems that the game should be revealed in 2013, one of the producers is also saying that it will only come out in 2014.

Here is the announcement picture causing all the stir.  It’s actually a special sleeve on a manga series, teasing that all will be revealed in the next issue of Bessatsu Shonen magazine.  That issue comes out 9 September, so we can only hope to know more then!

Hopefully it won’t be a Visual Novel, nothing against VN, just Attack needs to be an action game

Really one of the best Anime releases I have seen in a long time. After finishing Death Note, Fullmetal Alchemist, Steins Gate…. there is not much good stuff left

Elfen Lied was pretty tough ^^ Didnt watch berserk yet but its on my list. I watched many more (though, Death Note is the only one that I own boxed). Only negative thing for me is, that I got used to long episodes. Game of Thrones and especially Sherlock make watching an Anime, which releases weekly and isn’t watch-all-episodes-in-one-weekend-nerd-available, really hard for me
