Is the Xbox making real inroads in Japan now?

Is the Xbox actually going to survive in Japan this round?

Last week I reported on them selling triple the amount of consoles as the previous week, prior to that I reported on Trusty Bell which sold over 49 000 units and now this week the Xbox 360 has 2 titles in the list of Famitsu’s Most Wanted.

Granted the list is 20 titles long but this is the first time ever that the Microsoft box has 2 titles in the list. They are Lost Odyssey at 12 and Halo 3 at 20.

The PS3’s Japan outlook is very good, it currently has 8 titles in the top 20. You can see why Microsoft are trying to hard for Final Fantasy XIII (2nd) and Metal Gear Solid 4 (4th)

wouldnt you say Famitsu is slightly bias? doesnt Halo 3 deserve the same as MSG4?

I would say Famitsu is completely biased…. That is why it is impressive that there are 2 Xbox titles on the list. Halo will move up slowly but it will never overtake MGS which is a PlayStation standard in the land of PlayStation
