If you can recall the heady days of PC gaming, where flight simulators and space combat games reigned supreme, you’ll definitely remember LucasArts’ X-wing and Tie fighter games. They might be coming back, if a job listing at LucasArts wasn’t just designed to torment gamers.
The company that built star wars (and then broke it) is looking for a senior gameplay engineer for an aerial combat title. LucasArts don’t only make Star Wars games though – and they’re responsible for a fair few other aerial combat games, like Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe and Secret Weapons Over Normandy.
The bit that gets me excited is that the job listing says that “Experience with flight sims, aerial shooters, and especially space-based shooters†are a plus. Space based shooters! X Wing! Tie Fighter! If neither of those, then I’d happily take a new Roque Squadron as well. Plus, it would be nice to have a new Star Wars game from somebody other than Bioware that doesn’t completely suck.

“If you can recall the heady days of PC gaming,”
I suppose Console gamers do forget that PC is still king.. so when is CoD 22 due out?
With the same jaggies, same single player story of “1 bad guy shags America and the player fixes it” and the same multiplayer with the same game types?
