Japanese hardware sales – Wii back on top

It’s been a long time since the Wii could look down on it’s competition in Japan but it appears like things are returning to normal again in the land of the rising sun with the Wii overtaking the PS3 once more and the Xbox 360 digging itself further down.

It constantly riles me up that Microsoft has paid so much money to it’s Japanese Xbox 360 department when the console has continued to bomb over there, how about using some of that money to give proper live support to the countries who actually like the Xbox 360?

Anyway back to the sales chart,

Wii – 24,397
PS3 – 18,483
360 –  5,068

Nintendo also continues to dominate the handheld arena with it’s DSi selling 55,382 units to the PSP’s 43,009
