RapeLay, the 2006 paedophilic rape game that recently stirred international controversy, and similar games have been banned outright - and has now lead to the arrest of a man found propagating it.
Hidetoshi Fukuzawa, a resident of Kawasaki and sex industry worker has been arrested by the Kyoto Police’s High Tech Crime Unit for illegally sharing the game via “Share,†an online file-sharing service. Affirming his innocence, the ignoble despot pleaded that "I downloaded it,but I didn’t leak this onto the internet."

No, I agree with you – playing the game won’t make you a a rapist, as listening to Metal won’t make you a blood-drinking satanist; but the game contains a scene where the object is to rape an 11-year old girl – and I don’t think there’s any place for that in society.

Labeling a group of 127 million people as sick SOB’s simply because of the actions of a few is no better than calling a group of people stupid because of their colour or stating that all blondes are stupid purely because of their hair colour.
It is offensive and has no place in modern society.
The vast majority of the Japanese population abhors the idea of rape games and this is shown by the fact that it is being banned in one of the most culturally open societies.

I am also very much against banning anything as it does then drive it underground and makes it harder to police.
For example I believe all drugs should be legalised and taxed as well as prostitution and the like.
However as Geoff stated there comes a time when society needs to draw a line and not allow it. Abuse against children is a very solid line in my book

Yet.THIS IS their SOCIAL NORM.They dont see the wrongness in it. so whos wrong?the people doing it? Or the people sitting back and doing nothing?both are wrong.one has to 1st aknowlege a problem before looking for a solution,if they think its o.k,they wont solve the underlying problems causing it.once again,the game was on sale for a few years,but after the storm over at Amazon.com,they HAD to take action to save face.I dont buy PR BS.

Honestly I don’t see how you are comparing willing sex at a younger age compared to forceful rape of a minor.
It’s not okay to label the entire culture as SOB’s, its narrow minded and unacceptable.
The Japanese have a wonderful indepth culture that is strange to many of us but as a race they deserve respect. We as westerners have a different view on sexuality, ours is based mainly on christian beliefs which doesn’t instantly make it the correct one. If society could be a little more understanding of different cultures it would go a long way to securing a better society as a whole

talking about representative, the said rape game represents a repulsive act, and if distributed widely will desensitize those that play it. we already suffer from that with wars being beamed to our tv’s… live!
thats why i understand germany’s strict laws governing violent games, but don’t really agree with it though. but rape is in a totally different ball game, and as seen in this country its almost an acceptable act. we cannot live like that, and freedom of speech has to be ignored to ensure people understand the seriousness of such a vile act.

Geez, there are some really strong comments on here. I agree with all those that think Rape games should be banned. I disagree with those saying the Japanese are sick and that the culture is crap.
How ignorant can a person be to label everyone as perverted? Here’s some helpful advice, go learn as much as you can about said culture. By this I mean as a society, not just a particular cross section. Maybe you will learn something new.
If not, just stfu. You come across as ignorant, xenophobic and uneducated.
