Jimi Hendrix Coming to Guitar Hero

As most of you know, Activision have already announced that they are looking to triple the amount of Guitar Hero titles by 2010.

It seems that to reach this goal, Activision is going to be releasing themed games instead of the usual titles with various songs and artists.

We have already seen the Aerosmith game and Metallica are getting their own game in the first quarter of next year as well.

I know that both bands have a huge fan base but neither of them really appeal to me. A new name has appeared that has me rather excited though, Jimi Hendrix.

This has come out of an Rolling Stone interview with Slash from Guns n’ Rosesm who supposedly convinced Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler to do Guitar Hero in the first place. He seems convinced that there will be a Jimi Hendrix version and I really hope he’s right.

While I still don’t think Activision needs to milk the series the way they intend to, making themed games is far better for the consumers as you won’t necessarily like all the bands or artists being featured.

Themed games make a lot more sense to do.
p.s. And shame on you for not liking Metallica 😉

Well if they go down the themed road i dont see any problems, as long as they continue with a full new numbered release each year im cool, if i get the choice of 2 more themed games each year as well thats super, no ones forcing me to buy them, I say bring it on, as far as im concerned you cant have too many guitar hero songs, ive found myself playing alot of stuff in guitar hero i didnt really like yet it was still fun to play in the game.
