Just Dance keeps dancing in 2016

Just Dance is the biggest music game franchise ever – and its popularity keeps growing. My own daughter loves it, despite it being what I think is a terrible game. Still, it’s got all the new popular music that the youth seems to love – and this time, it doesn’t even need controllers other than smartphones. They pulled some celebrity artist on stage to sing, and because I’m an old grumpy bastard, I have no idea who it is.

So a dude sang and danced and failed to reach the high notes he manages in the studio. According to people younger than I, it’s Jason Derulo, which doesn’t really help clear it up in my mind at all. Still, he’s a popular guy, the game is popular as hell, and there’s a new one coming. The game that is, not another Jason Derulo. Thank god.

The game, on newer consoles at least, launches alongside a streaming service that means new songs, all the time. It’s never allowed in my house.
