Kane & Lynch 2: Do we care?

Kane & Lynch 2 is expected to be released towards the end of this year and we have to ask ourselves… do we actually care?

Is this something to get excited about or just another over rated title in a sea of mediocrity?

Honestly from the people I have spoken to the main opinion is that we shouldn’t care and then instantly the conversation switches to the Gamespot/Jeff Gerstmann affair.

I think that’s very unfair to the developers of the game to be honest. So some marketing company put to much pressure on Gamespot who subsequently cracked… Let’s be honest now you can’t expect the marketers to be okay with bad reviews or that Jeff is doing worse for himself since he became an Internet cult icon.

Companies will always attempt to pressure reviewers and media to show their products in a good light and the media will need to make sure that the companies are happy while keeping their integrity because guess who pays the bills in the end?

But if we just look at the facts then we should be excited about this game, the original sold over 2 million units… it did however score a miserable 65 on Metacritic.

One way or another though this game is going to be making headlines…

Day one purchase for as well,I loved the gritty feel of the first game, sure the game had it’s faults but if you could look past them you’ll find the game very enjoyable.

I also agree it was under rated! It was let down by shoddy graphics and poor UI but the story was good.
