MasterKeagan

Keagan Gillepsie is 10 years old and suffers from Type 2 Spinal Muscular Atrophy, a progressive disease that affects muscular development. He recently had an operation to help straighten his spine, but fell soon afterwards, shattering both of his legs. He’ll never be able to walk – and soon, his affliction could make even moving an insurmountable feat. He’s also a huge Halo fan despite never having played the game – and wanted to celebrate his birthday with Master Chief. Enter Xbox South Africa and the Reach for a Dream foundation.

They surprised Keagan at his home on his birthday – bringing not just Master Chief, but also gave him an Xbox of his very own and a copy of Halo 4, the Halo Reach Collector’s Edition and Forza Horizon (because why not?). Reach for a Dream also supplied a bounty of Halo toys and paraphernalia, allowing Keagan to celebrate his special day in true Master Chief style.

I’d normally rant about underage kids playing games they’re not meant to – but I’ll make an exception here, not least because his parents did sign consent.

Master Keagan, we salute you.
