Kinect wasn’t the first motion controlled home console device… not by miles

It’s no big secret that the Kinect isn’t the first motion controlled gaming device to hit the market but after seeing this trailer for the Sega Activator I just had to post it.

Mainly because I clearly remember living in these times and thinking that everyone looked stupid on TV, fast forward a couple of years and my beliefs have been confirmed.

From a gaming perspective it’s not a bad idea really but unfortunately it just didn’t really work.

PS: Love the fact they had to tell us not to have mirrored ceilings when using the device.

    Good lordy that looks exhausting.

I remember seeing ads for this in imported gaming magazines, back then I just couldn’t wotk out how it would work properly. Still can’t 😛
