So I posted yesterday about the ludicrous situation that Metal Gear Online users are in. Where they have to now register entirely new Konami ID profiles before being allowed to play.
A whole lot of you claimed I was just being a 360 fanboy and that it wasn’t a problem, fast forward to today and we get to see the Konami server going down in flames.
Apparently the guys who made the game had no idea it was going to be so popular and the server couldn’t handle the pressure.
Not that a dedicated service like live doesn’t suffer the same problems though… I remember the servers seriously struggling with the Halo 3 Beta as well…
So would it have made a difference if Sony was hosting it? We will never know now will we?

Seems to be running fine, few guys on my friends list are busy playing. Mines taking for ever to download though 🙁

Ye it wasn’t the game servers, it was the download servers.

What a fanboy – even PS3 only articles are always negative towards Sony, and its always a “report”. Does Lazy actually have a PS3 that he tests his “stories” on, or does he live up to his name and just blindly repost whatever anti-Sony stuff he can find?
