In two weeks time, we’re holding the inaugural (yes, that means we have more planned) Lazygamer Festival of Gaming. We sincerely hope you’ll all be there – because we’ll have cool new games for you to check out, stuff to give away, and a community of like-minded gamers to embrace. We’re also going to have a few competitions and tournaments too.

Thanks to the guys at Maingaming, we’ve got a couple of tournaments and a LAN taking place on Saturday 17th. We’ll be hosting a 32 FIFA 12 tournament, as well as an 8 player Modern Warfare 3 LAN. For fans of racing, Maingaming will also be holding their Gran Turismo 5 grand finals at the event.

The Modern Warfare 3 LAN will be open to all, but those who wish to participate in the FIFA tourney need to be registered by 10am, for a 10:30 kick off. Here’re the rules :

Half Length: 5 minutes, 6 minutes for QF, SF & Final
Injuries: On
Difficulty Level: World Class
Game Speed: Normal
Offsides: On
Time/Score display: On
Camera: Tele Broadcast
Radar: 2D
Home Auto Switching: User Settings
Away Auto Switching: User Settings
Volume Settings: Default Custom formations: not allowed
Custom Tactics: Not allowed
Tactical Defending – MUST be used
Pass Power Assistance – OFF
Red Card Rule applies.

The GT5 final will take place between 4 an 6pm on Saturday – which leaves a little time before we go off to eat and drink stuff at Lazygamer’s expense. There’ll be other games to play at the LAN as well, which means we might be able to pull out an impromptu Street Fighter IV Tournament as well….
