League-of-Explorers

I’ve been hard at work in Hearthstone, grinding up daily quests so I can afford and unlock the latest adventure, The League of Explorers. Thus far, I’ve only earned enough gold to unlock the first wing, the Temple of Orsis. It was well worth the effort though, and was an absolute blast to play! I’m looking forward to the other three pieces of the puzzle, especially the final wing, the Hall of Explorers, which has just been released…

On the eve of triumph, disaster strikes! The pieces of the Staff of Origination have been recovered, but now they’ve fallen into the wrong hands! Now you’ll have to return to the hallowed headquarters of the League of Explorers itself and recover the staff from the vile grip of evil! Beware the artifact’s power, because who knows what havoc will be wrought once the pieces of the staff are combined! The League of Explorers is in a bind, and they need your help.

There are four bosses to face in this wing, including the likes of a Skelesaurus Hex, a Steel Sentinel, and the almighty Rafaam. Defeating them all will yield some juicy new cards for your collection.

What cards are up for grabs I hear you ask? Well, remember that Elise Starseeker one Blizzard showed off at BlizzCon earlier this year? It can now be yours, once you’ve beaten all the bosses in the Hall of Explorers of course.

Forgot what it does? Let me jog your memory quick. Playing Elise Starseeker will shuffle a ‘Map to the Golden Monkey’ into your deck. Playing that card then shuffles the ‘Golden Monkey’ into your deck. What does the Golden Monkey do when played? Oh I don’t know… something casual like replacing your entire deck and hand with legendary minions!

It’s an extremely overpowered card, and getting into your hand is guaranteed to be a challenge, as well as incredibly unlikely. Pull off that combo though, and the result will be magical to say the least.

Are you excited for this final wing? Will you be shuffling Elise Starseeker into your deck? I certainly want to!

I’m the best at what I do, and what I do isn’t very conducive to sound fiscal policy.
