Mario Kart Wii Multiplayer is a great and fun way to spend your time. The unfortunate thing is that it only comes with one wheel, which means one person is always left using the nunchuck combo or just holding the Wiimote sideways unless you are willing to fork out the money for another plastic mold, I mean, wheel.
Well, we at Lazygamer are all cheapskates and with that in mind, we set out to create a low cost and effective alternative to the Nintendo wheel. Now, since this is a Nintendo game, we decided to go with a theme that all Nintendo fans can identify with. We chose Donkey Kong.
Join us after the jump for a step-by-step guide to building your next awesome Wii peripheral.
Ok, first of all, you will need the following:
1 x Roll of Cellotape/Masking Tape
2 x Banana’s (We got ours from Woolworths)
1 x Nintendo Wiimote
—————————————–
Step 1: Selection and Alignment
Disconnect and align your bananas. Make sure that you seperate them cleanly. Also be sure to select similar sized bananas as a difference in weight could lead to handling issues later on.
Step 2: Apply Tape
Use the tape to join the Bananas to the edge of your Wiimote. Make sure that you stick them solidly together, with as much tape making direct contact with the surface as possible. Please take special care in this step as improper construction may lead to unexpected banana related fatalities later on. Use as much tape as is necessary.
Step 3: Admire your awesome L33t DIY skills
Step 4: Go and play Mario Kart with a buddy and bask in your own DIY glory!
Easy Peasy!

Well now I understand your recent absence on live. Brilliant ideas don’t come without sacrifice.
