League of Legends 2015 World Championship venues announced

LoL

I’ve been giving  far too much time to League of Legends lately, so much so that my real lover, Dota 2, has started showing signs of jealousy. One part of LoL I haven’t gotten around to experiencing though, is its professional scene. I have no idea how the best of the best play, what champions they use the most, or what strategies they adapt. I hope to change that this year when the 2015 World Championship kicks off.

The venues have been announced, and unless I can secure questionable sums of money, I won’t be able to attend in person. If you however, stay near enough, you may be able to witness part of the spectacle first-hand. Here are the dates and venues of this year’s championship:

We’ve been counting the days until we could share final details of our stops on the path to the final. The venues are locked in and we’re hyped to confirm our full line-up of host cities for this season’s grand finale!

This fall, we’re bringing Worlds through Paris, London, and Brussels for group, quarters and semifinals before landing in Berlin where the two remaining teams will battle it out at the World Championship Final.

Group Stages: October 1-4 and October 8-11 – Le Dock Pullman, Paris
Quarterfinals: October 15-18 – SSE Arena Wembley, London
Semifinals: October 24-25 – Brussels Expo, Brussels
Finals: October 31 – Mercedes-Benz Arena (currently O2 World – Berlin)

It’s still many months away, so if you’re a big enough fan, you should have more than enough time to save some cash. Will you be watching? I’m going to try my best… from the comfort of my home at least.
