If you don’t already have an iPhone, then this may just be the reason to buy one.
Due to Apple’s policy on talking about products before they are ready, we do not have a definite confirmation, but from the looks of things, the reality of Lucasarts classic adventure games like Monkey Island, The Dig, Full Throttle and more are heading to the iPhone.
Why do we know this, if it hasn’t been confirmed? Well, it’s because the CEO of Lucasarts has verbally gestured that it’s gonna happen.
When asked by gaming site Joystiq, on whether or not their new Steam line-up could ever head to portable platforms, like say, the iPhone, CEO Darrel Rodriquez told them the following:
“On iPhone, you know Apple’s policy that we can’t talk about a release until it’s ready to release. But it would make sense that we would do something like that if we were to go in that direction … wink wink, nod nod.”
That’s damn well good enough confirmation for me, and boy am I happy to hear it. This makes me happy that I have an iPhone for sure, and like I said before, if these are truly coming to the iPhone, you have a damn good reason to look at finally getting one.
