LittleBigPlanet price slashed

For some reason the price of LittleBigPlanet has been in freefall recently, now while we are never going to complain about a cheaper game it does make you wonder what is going on.

A few online retailers are now flogging the title for as little as 10 pounds or R150 which is an incredible price for a really good game.

I can only presume this firesale is being supported by Sony to get Sackboy into every PS3 enabled home on the planet to continue their drive to have him as their next console icon.

I don’t expect the price to drop much lower so if you haven’t broken down and picked up LBP yet this could be your best opportunity.

Yea so is Ster Kinekor going to come to the party or just continue to screw SA gamers with the terrible high prices we already suffer with.

it could be that sony/mm are making a healthy pocket change on all the dlc that is available for lbp, therefore negating the need for a high price point in favour of high sales.

Hey Lazy why don’t you try find out why we always get charged these insane prices in light of the demise of ShopTo no longer shipping to SA. Why could we buy games for +/- R300 for the UK and ship them here for less that half the price we pay anywhere in SA?
I think that would make an interesting article.

Well most companies are understandably hesitant about giving away their profit margins but here are some of the main reasons why our games cost more

    1. VAT
    2. Import Duties
    3. Exchange Rate Fluctuations
    4. Shop space
    5. Logistical costs, travel, distribution etc…
