Mad World isn’t going to be released in the Nanny States

PlatinumGames, the developers of Mad World, have stated that at the moment there aren’t any plans to release Mad World in any of the censorship heavy countries like Germany, Australia or Japan… I didn’t even know Japan was censorship heavy.

Honestly I don’t blame them at all, they have an art style and plan for their game and I see no reason why they should soften it up just because certain governments don’t think their gamers can handle it.

It really is pretty pathetic, especially when you consider that ultra-violent movies seem to be aired with no problems what so ever.

No news on whether or not South Africa will be getting Mad World, but I don’t think the chances are high. Purely as our market isn’t big enough to justify the risk… they really should though, this game could become a huge cult hit.

I don’t think it matters if we get this game.
The majority of Wii owners would not be interested in this game. And the majority of people interested in this game are not Wii owners.
