As if there wasn’t already enough reason to cry myself to sleep at night, now I find out that MAG is going to be playable at E3 and I unfortunately am not going to be there to try it out.
I have MAG pinned as a crucial part of Sony’s plan for complete domination and if the game plays as well as we all hope it will then I can see Sony making some huge gains in market share.
A 256 player FPS/RTS… with solid frame rates and mini squad action sounds more like a PC dream than a console reality.
Sony has confirmed that the game will be playable at E3 for journalists to join in so expect to hear some solid feedback about this title throughout the rest of next week.

Since when does quantity equal quantity? BF:BC 2 FTW!!!
Isnt Huxley something similar but crossplatform and RPG based?

i’m not convinced MAG will have that big an effect on sony’s market share, but it’ll definitely leave food for thought, considering psn is a free service.
that’s if they pull it off though

PSN players have SOCOM but that has not really rocked anybody’s world and has at best a hardcore crowd of gamers. MAG could appeal on the other hand if its for casual gamers who are into the Battlefield style of games.
Being free doesnt mean its best btw.

no it doesn’t, but what it does mean is that you have people questioning xboxlive subscription fees seeing that sony can produce an online game of this scale (assuming that it will work as advertised).
psn is a pretty sophisticated free service btw.

Many people brag saying PSN is free yack yack yack… And yet they moan for not having a XMB cross voice in game chat. Its for free damit!
I remember reading this one article where they said the only reason people pay for xbox LIVE is because of the voice chat function… Crazy but makes kinda sense.
Lets quickly recap… PSN Benefits
1. Free online gaming
2. Same as above
3. Same as above
4. Same as above
The pointless updates just drive me wild. Its true what many people say. You pay what you get for. Sony should just release what the Fans want, and stop beating around the bush. “Sophisticated free serives” my arse

Jeez seems some sour grapes on this one.
Having owned both consoles, I def say psn is the better service right now, the free no hassles side is a major plus for me.
And this is games is a huge I WANT!

I also own both consoles and dont find the hype about PSN to be so great. Having to login to the Japanese or US PSN to download this and that is absurd even if its free.
Plus the silly PSN firmware upgrades… how silly are those?
