Maingaming FIFA 12 Tournament’s kicked off

We told you not to long ago about how your digital golden ball skills could net you R25 000 in cash by entering Maingaming’s inaugural national FIFA 12 tournament. Maingaming hosted the first qualifying leg of the tournament recently at Clearwater Mall – which saw their highest tournament turnout to date; 117 entrants.

Here’s how it went down.

After a day of virtual football, the three finalists – who all get a shot in the grand finals and thus stand a chance of winning that 25K prize were :

1st – Wasim Ebrahim
2nd – Irshaad Muhammed
3rd – M Zaid Patel

Unfortunately for wildcard entry Mufaro Chinyaga he was eliminated in his first round.  There’s still plenty of opportunity for budding FIFA enthusiasts to participate; the next qualifier will take place on the 23rd October 2011) at the Trade Route Mall in Lenasia.
