Mario Kart cleans upMario Kart’s release in the UK has really gone down well with the locals.

Not only has it leapfrogged GT 5 and everything else in the charts but it has also set some impressive new records for Mario titles.

Mario Kart has now had the biggest launch of any Nintendo published title.

Not only that but it has come in at the number 8 spot for all time UK launches across all platforms.

Not content with only that it has also managed a bigger launch week than all the previous Mario Wii titles combined… Which really is an impressive result when you remember that Super Mario Galaxy is in that list.

My most eagerly anticipated title for the first half of the year. Yes, bigger for me than MGS4, bigger than GTAIV. I really hope Core brings this in soon, it’s a cracker.

Once again another 1st party title cleaning up for the Wii and once again testament to the fact that the casual gamer will pick up titles for the Wii that are good. Fad. lol

Do you think this could beat GT5P at the box office. Ironic how Nintendo’s approach to gameplay (Innovative & fun) keeps trouncing Sony/MS technical marvels. There is a lesson to be learned here methinks.
