Rare Researches

You may or may not have seen the image above that is being splashed around the Internet at the moment. It’s a screenshot from Banjo Kazooie and it seems to suggest that we are going to be seeing 3 old Rare games brought back to life.

However the question here is whether that is true or are Rare just pulling our legs on this one… or is it the third option?

The third option is that Rare have decided they have enough capacity to do a remake next year but they don’t really know which is the best game in the catalogue to work on. So instead of doing the research and paying all that money they would rather leave a teaser in Banjo and see which games gets spoken about the most.

At the moment it seems to be Killer Instinct which is bar far the most requested one from that list. Grabbed by the Ghoulies is getting some mentions but it seems to be a love it or hate it type of game and I am very sad to see there isn’t a Party Animals 2 listed.

My daughters will be so upset.

Last thing I read about any of this and from what I’ve seen in interviews, Rare where not keen to revive any old frachises but rather inovate like they have done with banjo. So I do beleive even if we were to see these games pop up again they would be different, very different and I not sure Rarae even want to do them.
