If you downloaded the Mass Effect 2 Demo for PS3 and were disappointed that it wasn’t leaps and bounds above, and in some instances was actually poorer than the original Xbox 360 version, Bioware have some heartening news for you.
BioWare’s community coordinator Chris Priestly has allayed concerned PS3 fans’ fears of a poor port via the US PlayStation blog.
“The demo was, for certification and testing reasons, about a 2 month older build than the final ‘what you will play when you get it home’ version,” he said.
“I think you’ll see that the game is noticeably better at launch. =)”
There you go, you lucky PS3 gamers. Not only do you get to play one of last year’s best games with a fresh set of eyes, but it’s got a fresh coat of paint on it too.
Mass Effect 2 for the PS3 is scheduled for release this Friday.

Uhh know!! Game stop has the release date as tomorrow. I pre order so get it that day. I have no idea why you get it Friday’s. I feel sorry for you.
Second’ly The mass Effect 2 demo on PS3 was Stella compared to the 360. I finished “mass effect 1” 2.5 times on 360 and Finished “Mass effect 2” 2x and i pre ordered this one and the demo looks and plays way better than the 360 version. Mass effect 3 for me will be on PS3

Hmm I wonder how this will do sales wise,thus far its not even on the pre-order radar, I don’t think PS3 gamers are to keen on it. FYI this game is leaps and bounds ahead of Uncharted 2, its gonna blow everything on the PS3 away! My prediction is this going to be the highest rated game on that system.

@Assious It’ll do much better in South Africa than the vast majority of xbox 360 games here (especially since so few of them are selling because of pirates on the xbox). As for being better than Uncharted 2? Christ son, are you smoking crack? ME2 was good, but it wasn’t THAT good.
