You have read correctly guys and girls. Its official, EA has blown gamers away by making one of the most insane console cross-overs. They have actually gone and made a Mass Effect title for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

Apparently the title fills the narrative jump between the original game and its soon-to-be-released sequel. The sequel is set to hit stores next year.

But more importantly: the iPhone iteration is more oriented around cut-scenes and story fillers. Its intended to give gamers a better understanding of the game’s sci-fi universe. Players will be required to maneuver their characters, target enemies and select various weapons.

So although from the descriptions I’ve found, the game doesn’t seem to be a real playable or hands-on title but then again I supposed its good enough to serve as a fun little appetizer for fans who are waiting for the sequel.
