So yesterday the mastermind behind the Metal Gear Solid series launched a new teaser website with an ever present teaser countdown clock which is timed to run out in 2 1/2 days from now.
So instantly everyone has jumped to the conclusion that it is a teaser for the next Metal Gear Solid title, then during a brief thunder clap we get to see the number 5 superimposed over the scene.
So I decided to take a look at the source code to see if there is anything there that may give us a clue as to what the sites about.
And I found something, the meta keywords that have been set for the teaser site include
“MGS,METAL GEAR, NEXTâ€
So can there be any doubt that we are going to hear about Metal Gear Solid 5 in the very near future?
Well yeah, I highly doubt it’s the case and I would more than likely put my money on a new sub-genre for the Metal Gear Series.

Many people are speculating that is a MGS Raiden… Because Raiden means God of thunder in japanese or something like that

And plus i dont think if it is yet another MGS game that it would be released for Xbox. Seeing that many xbox owners havent played the 4th one yet

its a whole new IP I tell you. Source code etc means nothing. The creators wanted to make it look like MGS5, hence the keywords in the source code and the flashing 5 as this gives the new game more attention. They did the same for the metal gear touch game, where they had a green power button on a black circle, obviously making people think that it was MGS4 for xbox360.

MGS5 seems so obvious, though and that’s not like Kojima at all. Then again, you can be sure that at some point there will be another MGS, I just don’t know if this announcement is it.

The reason i also believe it isnt a another MGS game is becasue the last one took like 4 years to make if im not mistaken…
