I was honestly depressed when I saw this article this morning. At the moment it feels like we are constantly bashing on the Xbox One and Microsoft and then Microsoft go and make yet another bizarre choice that makes us suspicious.
At E3 all the large gaming companies have big shows to highlight their upcoming products. These flashy marketing exercises are usually followed by a much more intimate round table event that gives the more prominent media the opportunity to ask more in-depth questions. This is the best time to find out those tricky questions that the companies may have glossed over.. you know always-on requirements, used game tax and Kinect spying on us.
Well Microsoft has now decided to cancel their planned roundtable with the media leaving us all concerned that once again Microsoft is going to ignore the core gaming market and attempt to manage the news coming out of E3.
It’s like they didn’t learn a thing from their last disastrous event.

Why bother with E3? They should just stick to their market and do some other Electronics Expo that showcase TVs, fridges and Microwaves.

Gamers are worried about being left out from what used to branded as a gaming console.
Our cry’s are drowned out by the Till machine ringing up the casuals dosh.

At this moment miscommunication could be a good thing for them, all their attempts at actual communication have not been well received.

I heard they were working on a Rush Limbaugh, Bush family and Obama editions. The obama edition will be taxed extra for RROD/warranty repair, and it “probably” wont work.

I’m sure we’re all getting tired of the anti-Xbox stuff. There is so little good news to offset the bad.
I don’t see how they would follow the seemingly inevitable path to destruction. I am certain that there is something pivotal they haven’t told anyone yet. Something really good that they feel justifies all of the bad that we’ve seen so far.

Konami’s Press conference is in a few hours. I bet there will be some good multiplat MGS goodness that will soften the blow.

Agreed. I am hoping will not pull just a rabbit out their hat, but a whole goddmn Tyrannosaurus Rex! I also read today that SONY confirms 40 games to be showcased at E3…

Between 3 platforms, that’s not that much. Most of it won’t be featured during the press event. Maybe just appearing in a montage. That includes multiplats as well, I’m sure.

Cant wait to see how the battle between Xbox and PS turns out. In my eyes, it looks like Sony may dominate.

Until they reveal their sneaky plan to kill or control the secondhand middleman. Then bring in DRM by 1 little firmware update.
They are PCs. So just bloody get a PC as we should have done back in the 80s.
The console is dead long live the PS2.

Im here! I’m making a tinfoil hat because now I think I might actually need the dam thing! Stupid Microsoft!
Then again, their events aren’t always what they say hey… I was booked for a roundtable at E3 in 2010, and it turned out to be a fake event created to actually give us hands on time with the new Xbox Slim, but they obviously couldn’t call it that beforehand or it would leak the info.

I don’t trust second hand tin foil hats. The Illuminati have infiltrated agents into the skeptic movement & contaminated our tin foil hat supply with aluminium hats which look the same but are totally completely different and not the same thing.

According to MS a Roundtable at E3 in not common, so no biggie. They also stated that all the one on one Press interviews scheduled for after the presentation are still happening so IGN and the likes will still get their chance to ask all those uncomfortable questions they’ve lined up! 🙂

Sound like a plan! LOL! No, but if you’ve been following IGN they’ve got no love lost for MS I promise you so I’m pretty sure they’ll be asking the difficult questions (2nd hand, DRM etc.) Hopefully it might not be necessary if MS decides to come clean on all these issues during the event!

sounds like they are acting childish and throwing a temper tantrum because of the horrid feedback they’ve gotten since the reveal, “well if that’s how they want to react than fine, we wont go to their big party next week-end na-na-na-”
we are not their target demographic for the new xbox. they want the soccer mom who’s to lazy and self centered to do things for their kids like take them to gamestop or redbox, and would rather throw a credit card at a machine and pay it to raise their children. it’s how Microsoft plans to brainwash the youth into using the new internet explorer, and dubstep is probably some how their fault too.
