This year’s E3 show will be held in Los Angeles between the 15th and 17th of July. We have the list of confirmed games that will be appearing from Microsoft & Sony.

Both companies are bringing a pretty potent arsenal of games to display, but I have noticed that there are a few games missing that I would have really liked to see. We will start off with Microsoft and discuss what’s there and what isn’t and then move on to Sony’s treasure chest.

Microsoft:
Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts
Fable 2
Gears of War 2
Halo Wars
Too Human
Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise

I will start of by asking the following question: Where in the hell is Alan Wake? It really is about time that they started showing off something to the press and public. A lot of people are really excited about the game even though we have been shown next to nothing for around two years.

As for the rest of the line-up, it’s looking pretty damn good. Gears of War 2 will obviously have a strong showing. Peter Molyneux will undoubtedly give a 2 hour speech about love and dogs and Microsoft will try and prove to us that Halo Wars is going to be the next big thing in the console RTS genre. Let’s hope that we get to actually play most of these games sometime soon.

I am also keeping an eye on Too Human as it looks as if it is shaping up to be a game with a heck of a lot of potential.

Sony (SCE):
Killzone 2
LittleBigPlanet
MotorStorm: Pacific Rift
PixelJunk Eden
Resistance 2
SIREN: Blood Curse Episode #1
SOCOM: Confrontation

In the Blu-Corner we have Sony’s line-up. Now, with MGS4 being released there is very little that will be able to top it this year. That doesn’t mean that there aren’t some very strong titles being shown.

Killzone 2, Resistance 2 and LittleBigPlanet… now isn’t that a lovely trio of titles to get your hype-machine running. These three games are all looking incredibly good and are going to be leading Sony’s attack on the hearts and minds of consoles gamers the world over. The other games in the list are looking good as well, which sets Sony up for a good show.

With Microsoft and Sony both pushing hard to bring their goods, we can look forward to another great year of console gaming.
