In perhaps one of the more bizarre celebrity investments of the year, Mike Tyson has announced that he will officially be investing some of his hard won fortune into Fade 2 Karma. The organisation, known mostly for hosting many professional Hearthstone streamers, has taken in Tyson’s investment and is looking into expanding their facilities.

Fade 2 Karma have stated that they will be building a new streaming facility in Los Angeles near El Segundo in the state of California which, and I cannot make this up, is the home of Tyson’s marijuana company called Tyson Ranch. The new location will be known as The Ranch House (of course it will) and will include top of the range equipment, a tournament stage, a content production suite and a rooftop party area.

Tyson joined Hearthstone stream Alliestrasza during her stream on Wednesday where he was exposed to Hearthstone for the first time. “It was pretty awesome. I had the opportunity to really engage with some millennials, which I never really actually do,” Tyson told ESPN on Thursday.

This is the first time, and I thought it was pretty awesome. We played Hearthstone. I really sucked real bad. You have to start somewhere. I played games before, so I’m going to start over and see what happens from here.

Tyson said his interest has been taken up by esports due to his son who is an active gamer and follower of competitive gaming.

As crazy and unexpected as this is for Mike Tyson, it seems like investing in esports teams is becoming a growing trend for celebrities. However, due to recent reports regarding the potential collapse of the esports industry, whether this pays off in the long run has yet to be determined.
