Minecraft is officially coming to the iPad, iPhone and Android

A while back, in typical App Store fashion, a Minecraft clone (one of many) arrived for iOS devices called Eden – World Builder. It did the job for Minecraft fans desperate to take the indie sandbox game on the road with them, but it wasn’t Minecraft. I suppose it was kind of like substituting a crack cocaine addiction with sherbet – it probably didn’t quite scratch that itch.

Fortunately for Minecraft addicts across the globe, the blocky world of infinite possibility is coming to iPad, iPhone and Android devices. The port is being handled by Majong themselves and is expected to be out later this year. No pricing as yet, but the PC version is still in beta and can be pre-ordered for €14.95. Considering Eden – World Builder sells for $0.99 on the App Store, the iOS and Android version will surely cost less than its PC big brother?
