MW2Late

Modern Warfare 2 on the PC is arriving on the 10th of November along with the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions. It is not delayed…

The latest according to Robert Bowling from Infinity Ward

“No delay on PC for Modern Warfare 2. You’ll also have Prestige Mode in PC as well as lots of Steam support. Hopefully min specs will be soon” (twitter)

In other news it was also announced that the PC version of Modern Warfare 2 will not have dedicated servers but it will have Prestige Mode.

The PC version will have a similar matchmaking system as the consoles which means you will be paired up against people of your own skill level which is awesome, but the lack of dedicated servers is going to lead to a lot of complaints today.

Yeah, um, so does this mean no SAIX/IS gaming servers? Seems like a pretty good reason to cancel my order.

No local servers… sounds great, cannot wait to be paired with people in America.

Will more than likely miss this game if this is the case. Sigh.

I hope they do not do the matchmaking for consoles?

If they keep it like COD4, then all cool. 6 vs 6 pwnage, but if they wull be matching me against internationals… fail.

I feel sorry for the internationals, getting paired with people from all over the world. MW2 will just be a giant, giant, GIANT lagfest.

If there is no dedicated server support for the PC version the whole of South Africa should just not even bother with multiplayer for MW2. I’m waiting a week and if there’s a no dedicated servers announcement from IW then I’m going to cancel my preorder and just pirate the game for 4 hours of sp.

    MEGA ULTRA FAIL

Man, having dedicated servers that anyone can set up is one of the few reasons that CoD4 did so well on PC.

I have a feeling that people will figure ways around it tho, just like when the whole ‘you must use matchmaking’ thing happened with Left 4 Dead on PC.

yea I know pc gamers are boycotting hardware companies that support consoles, big companies like AMD

we are boycotting all actvision games. We really love blizzard but actvision gets half their income from pc gamers that support blizzard.

boycotting COD is not enough because the game devs wouldn’t care. We boycott the tooles they work on maybe the message will get across.

    here is two links

news up date actvision trying to Silences Community
