Mortal Kombat 11’s Terminator may look like Arnold Schwarzenegger, but he won’t have his voice

If walks like a merciless T-800 killing machine sent by a rogue AI that has begun systematically killing off mankind in a dark future and looks like a merciless T-800 killing machine sent by a rogue AI that has begun systematically killing off mankind in a dark future, it has to be a merciless T-800 killing machine sent by a rogue AI that has begun systematically killing off mankind in a dark future…right? Right!

Mortal Kombat 11 has a bunch of extra fighters on the way provided that you’re willing to press down down left right High Punch to initiate a fatality on your credit card, and between the likes of Todd McFarlane’s Spawn, Batman’s arch-nemesis the Joker and a few Mortal Kombat familiars, there is he who said he’d be back: Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Or to be more precise, an older and more weathered version of the Cyberdyne Systems Series T-800 model that has decided to abandon its mission and set up a nice shack in the woods instead. That incarnation of the Terminator looks amazing so far, an accurate digital version of current Arnie that is ready to unleash the power of the Terminator franchise if it were given a hard R-rating at the cinema, but the catch here is that you won’t hear Arnold Schwarzenegger voicing the machine in combat.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a sound alike will be used instead for the character in Mortal Kombat 11, who I’m hoping is someone who can mimic Arnie’s unique sounds that he makes whenever he’s in peril or pain:

As mentioned previously, Warner Bros. is amping up the marketing for Terminator: Dark Fate with a bunch of other cameos featuring the cast. Sarah Connor and the T-800 will pop up in Gears 5, while Ghost Recon Breakpoint will have its own slice of Terminator DLC after launch. As for the film? It will hopefully do the impossible when it releases on October 23: Make the scales tip towards there being more good Terminator films than bad ones.

    The T-800 doesn’t need a voice.
