Mortal Kombat character trailers – Mileena

Here’s the first of what will hopefully be many character introduction trailers for the upcoming Mortal Kombat reboot. This one introduces Mileena, although she probably needs no introduction to many fans of the series. For those who don’t know who Mileena is, she’s the fighter who wears purple, is overtly sexy and has teeth big enough to devour a bull elephant in two bites.

According to the video (and presumably the game’s canon), she was created by Shang Tsung, which is something I didn’t know! She also giggles like a school girl just before leaping into combat to stab opponents in the throat with a pair of sai. Her arch-enemy is Kitana, but that’s probably because Kitana wears the same outfit as she does, and I hear that’s totally frowned upon by women. Whether or not that gives Mileena carte blanche to cut Kitana’s legs off at her thighs is up for debate however. Check out the trailer; it’s gross and makes me want the game even more. Hooray for gratuitous violence!
