Warner Bros. has announced that it’ll be re-releasing their gloriously rebooted Mortal Kombat, just short of a year after its initial release.

It will, as you’d expect, ship with all of the currently available DLC; Skarlet, Kenshi, Rain and Nightmare On Elm Street’s Freddy Krueger along with 15 character skins and three classic fatalities for Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Reptile.

For those of you in South Africa who’ve struggled to download DLC for the game, there’s some good news in that it’ll pack in all the extra downloadables – which haven’t been available locally – on the disc. That doesn’t mean there’s no bad news for locals though. The Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition will also throw in a few extras; the dubstep-heavy Mortal Kombat: Songs Inspired by the Warriors album and a copy of the first Mortal Kombat film from 1995; a silly but fun film adaptation of the first game. The problem? You need to download the album and the film via PlayStation Store or Xbox Live Zune Marketplace.

That means you likely won’t be able to grab the extras – as those services aren’t available in South Africa.  Once again we’re left paying more, and getting less than the rest of the world. Still, it’ll probably be pretty cheap – so if you’ve done your head in trying to route your internet connection through a VPN or creating dummy accounts for the DLC, this might be just what you’re looking for.

Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition is headed for PS3 and Xbox 360 this March.

Also, WOB CHUCK WOB CHUCK CHUCK WOB WOB CHUCK WOB CHUCK!

My ears have just suffered from eReptile dysfunction.
