Mortal Kombat to also have one time online pass

According to a leaked email sent from Warner Bros to Joystiq the upcoming Mortal Kombat will include a one time code that you will need to use to play Mortal Kombat online.

This new technique is being used by quite a few developers recently to try and recoup some of the money they are losing in the used gaming market and to be honest it’s something I am quite happy to support.

Not really because of the second hand market which is something I think developers really need to just accept but more for the piracy market. At least this way even those despicable pirates are paying something back to the developers if they want to play online.

The real losers here are the people who rent the titles as this is going to make that business model pretty unviable for multiplayer games.

Warner Bros hasn’t confirmed this is going to be happening yet but until it is denied I am going to say this rumour is pretty solid.
