MSSA

I’m not the biggest fan of the MSSA, Mind Sports South Africa, and feel that things could be drastically improved if they would only bring all the interested parties in the country to the bargaining table and really do what is best for the eSports scene locally.

However that being said you can’t fault them on trying to do the best they can at the moment and the latest news coming out of that camp is that they’ve secured enough funding, thanks to the generous and generally awesome guys over at Megarom, to send 2 disabled gamers to the IeSMoD World Championships in Korea.. starting today.

The IeSMoD is the International e-Sports Meets of the Disabled and while I’m not sure what disabilities we’re talking about here I do know they have it harder than me and deserve to be rewarded for being at the top of their game while fighting through things most of us never have to experience.

The 2 awesome guys representing South Africa are Jason van Belkum and Jacobus Engelbrecht and they’ll be taking part in Starcraft 2, Warcraft 2: The Frozen Throne and Kartrider.

We wish you two all the best and while the rest of the world generally has no chance against the South Koreans in e-Sports we hope you enjoy the experience and stand tall.
