It’s no secret that I love cartoons. And out of the toons that I currently watch, Adventure Time is one of the best. It may be for kids, but the clever humour, various gaming references and fondness for LARPing made real takes it to a new level, that adults can enjoy. Which is why I’m getting more and more excited for the upcoming game, which embraces those 8bit roots fully.
Developed by WayForward, and with help from Pendleton Ward, the Adventure Time game is finally giving me an excuse to use my 3DS again. A collectors edition has also been announced for the game, which will include a poster, steel case that is designed to resemble the Enchiridion book and a special, sword-shaped stylus.
Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why’d you steal our garbage?!, is out this year in October, and will most likely roll a +10 for nostalgic fun on Nintendo DS, 3DS and the Sony PSP. Also here’s a clip from the show that counts as a daily dose of nightmare fuel.
