KAKAWWWWW

Remember back in October, when I wrote about some game that the designer behind The Stanley Parable teased? You’d think more information on the title would’ve surfaced by now, but alas – nothing!

Ok that may be lie, but honestly, not much more about the mystery title from Crows Crows Crows has come to light, other than that it will be launching tomorrow.  A timer has popped up over on the game’s official website, and if my calculations are correct, it will be available at 9pm our time.

The only other information I’ve been able to find came to me in a mail that popped up in my inbox in the wee hours of this morning. Here’s a summary of all the important bits it entailed:

Remember us, Crows Crows Crows, whose email list you subscribed to? For news about our vague unspecified upcoming projects? Well, we’ve got something very exciting to tell you: In just under 48 hours, we’re going to be announcing – and releasing – our first experimental game!

It’s going to be starring award winning comedian Simon Amstell, who has whispered and yelped and joked around into a microphone for us, and it’s – well. We don’t want to spoil it. Here’s what we’ll tell you. It’s a strange and whirlwind sort of heist game, it’s between 15 and 20 minutes long.

The mail also included the screenshot you see in the header image above. What’s with the fairy lights and laser beams? I guess we’ll have to wait until tomorrow to find out.

Also included in the email was this neat little bonus:

Two hours before we release on Friday, we’re going to send you all one (1) Steam key, so you can be among the very first people to play. Thank you so much for supporting us along the way!

I don’t know if this is a permanent standing offer, so if you have any sort of interest in mysteries, fairy lights, and laser beams, best you head off and subscribe on the official game website this instant! I wonder what exactly that 15-20 minutes of gameplay will entail?

  1. I know that I have been moaning a lot about open world games and their seemingly endless gameplay… But this is just too much in the other direction again. 15-20 minutes for a game… If it is available on my Ipad Mini I can finish it in one sitting on my porcelain throne 🙂

Technically you could finish Stanley Parable in under 5 seconds.
