New Borderlands 2 film coming this week

Last time we got a short film from Gearbox, it was Krieg: A Meat Bicycle Built for Two and it took us into the mind of Krieg the Psycho. Now it appears that we will be getting another short film this week, and we even get a teaser image.

Gearbox Software’s twitter account gives us this little tidbit:

Gearbox announced earlier this year that they were partnering with The Academy of Art to produce animated Borderlands short films – at this point we don’t know if this film is a product of that partnership.

For those who haven’t seen it, here is the previous short, filled with the typical Borderlands 2 humor and design.

Why does this short make me so happy? I suppose it’s just so very Borderlands – the humor and styling is spot on. I’m excited to see what they come up with in the new short.

Reminds me of the movie Warm Bodies.

Yeah, but it was interesting to see day to day life from a zombies perspective. Was a nice change of pace.

In my eyes. Warm bodies is to decent Zombie movies what Twilight was to decent Vampire movies. But I get what you’re saying.
The warm bodies book wasn’t any better than the movie.

Agreed the movie was a soppy teenager love story that the kids eat up. But It was funny how he still had a conscious thought but no physical expressions

I had no idea what it was, someone told me to try it. Couldn’t finish it though…

“Don’t mention the word poop”… “I’m the conductor of the poop train!” always cracks me up.

Love this short. Borderlands 2 is the only game I have come back to so many damn times. Played it on Sat with some mates, and it still makes me smile! I’m on Ultimate True Vault Hunters mode, but don’t seem to be levelling up! Hope not a bug…

You won’t get much XP if you joined their game & they’re a lower level than you

Actually OVG joined my game. I am lv 50, he was 46. Started the game new, bullymongs were like lv 52, killing them was hard, but I got nothing, nudda, zilch.

You should have gotten quite a bit from killing them, must be something funny going on. Those Bullyrots are the worst to kill on UVHM.

I know. I thought I should get something for them! Took flipping forever to kill!

I still need to start a proper UVHM playthrough. I’ve gotten Axton, Zero & Gaige to the point where I can start. But I think it’s going to be Dark Souls level of pain & pleasure.

Yeah. I want to get Axton to lv 61, don’t see that happening any time soon. Have they added to the skill tree? I want to throw out 2 nukes baby!

Heh I want two slag turrets with rockets. I will own the battlefield. The next DLC will up the level cap to 72 is I remember right.

I think they have already released the 72 cap increase? Not that I’ll ever get there…

Nope, only around Halloween some time. Which is what? October? I’m sure the resident ‘Murican knows 😉

Its doable with 61, but only jsut, you dont have any spare skill points left to play with.
best to just build into slag turret and max out on DPS

bee shield and sandhawk, thats all you need, the bee shield and a electric sandhawk combination, even if theyr level 50 and youre 61, is still stronger than any other combination in the game.

            August 26, 2013 at 12:40

I have Zero equipped with the Bee Shield & the pistol with never-ending ammo with electric damage, that pretty much mows through anything.

you have an infinity, and with an element that is actually relevant?
so not fair, ive killed doc mercy like 100 times and havent had a single drop…
And with my luck, when it does drop, it will be a corrosive or slag one…

infinities are awesome, especially usefull in UVHM as ammo felt like the biggest issue.
but overall, the infinities are underpowered in terms of DPS
still, one of the most desired guns in the game.

This’ll annoy you even more – it was a random loot item from a chest in the Eridium Blight 😀

I’m really annoyed at how useless fire weapons become, the only one worth keeping is the one you get from Captain Scarlett.

meh, the amount of hate i feel cannot be written down…

the lvl 50 thief is pretty great, but the 61 vers is horseshit.
i got one fire and one electric sandhawk
fire elements arent really useless, but more aimed at specific enemies.
moxxis fire shotgun is also pretty awesome, i liked the firing action

            Got it =D
            Rapid infinity ftw
the damage isnt comparable to the sandhawk, but its the gun i wanted the most.
now for The Sham shield and a non-elemental or fire conferance call.

XP gain on UVHM is minimal, that 3rd playthrough took me forever

      299 hours down.
Maya and Axton both fully kitted out level 61s with legendary class mods, bee shields, sandhawks and conferance calls.
So, its safe to say: “I feel you”
