Many of you – like I do – probably have a cupboard full of plastic peripherals. With Guitar Hero : Warriors of Rock on the way, you may have to add more, because the new guitar is a pretty serious axe. It also forgoes realism for campy cartoony fun, which I hope the actual game does too.
with the new design, they’ve managed to consolidate all of the electronic innards into the neck and fretboard. What does this mean? It means the body of the guitar is superfluous, so it can be replaced with other sexy designs. Astute shredders among you may notice that the touch sensitive slider bar introduced in World Tour is gone, so it looks like Warriors of Rock will be a little more back to basics.
Of course the games and the peripherals will be retaining their backwards – and forwards – compatibility, so there’s no need for you to go out an buy these new guitars. Video after the jump, courtesy of Joystiq.
Guitar Hero : Warriors of Rock will be available on the PS3, Wii and Xbox 360, although no release date has been specified.
