New inFamous: Second Son details

In a bid to make 24 year-old losers who are convinced of their imminent greatness feel better, Sucker Punch Productions has created a new character!

Yup, the newest game in the inFamous series has a new character, takes place in a new city and features new powers – all designed for the new Playstation console.  Taking place in Seattle, inFamous Second Son is explored through the eyes of Delsin Rowe, a 24 year-old who finds his greatness after rescuing occupants from a bus wreck, in the form of new abilities.

Second Son takes place seven years after the Cole McGrath episodes, in a changed world.  I wonder if there are any political ideas bubbling up through this game, considering the studio says

Along the way, Delsin is going to ask questions that are not just relevant to the world of Second Son – but to the world we all live in today. A world where we are often instructed to surrender our freedoms to help improve our security. Ben Franklin once wrote “Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.” Is he right?

I’m all for games that make me fight against authority and the establishment.  I just hope it’s a bit different from the hundreds of other games I’ve played with similar premises.  That said, the trailer does look rather enjoyable.  I might just have to play this. At full volume. While eating a steak.

Still a much better character than James Heller , who imo is the worse video game character this gen.
