New Nintendo DSi – Why are we going backwards?

Nintendo DS

The new Nintendo DSi’s are being shipped out at the moment for a huge worldwide launch but I just have to sit back and wonder how it was that the latest version of the DS is actually worse than the previous one?

Yes granted it is a whopping 2.6 mm smaller… and comes with a dodgy .3 megapixel camera which is also pretty useless. Add in an Internet browser that you won’t use and an extra brightness level and you have the entire raft of improvements.

The downside is that they have swiped your GBA port and the battery time is shortened by up to 5 hours…

Now don’t get me wrong I think the DS is a fantastic piece of equipment but if I were you I would wait until the DSi is released and then pick up a DS Lite on special since from where I am sitting it’s a better piece of hardware.

The PSP 3000 is also gimped compared to previous models, I cannot run any home brew on there. Also what is up with the dodgy umd drive? I miss my old 1000

LOL, that’s exactly what I was thinking – wait for the DSi to come out and get the DS Lite on a special
