Entitled “The Da Vinci Disappearance” the paid for DLC pack will arrive at the beginning of March over Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network. So far, only pricing for Xbox Live has been confirmed at 800 MS Points.

The DLC will bring with it a new single player memory sequence set after the fall of the Borgia family by Ezio’s hands. During this sequence, Leonardo Da Vinci is kidnapped by a group known as the Hermeticists, who are “an underground cult dedicated to transforming mankind” according to the DLC’s official description. It’s up to Ezio to rescue Leonardo by recovering stolen paintings – not sure how that’s going to help but I’m sure it’ll work out somehow. There will be ten new achievements and trophies, two new locations as well as two new gameplay features. What those gameplay features are has not been made clear. Trailer after the jump.

Added multiplayer features include a new map, two new game modes and four new playable characters: the Pariah, the Knight, the Marquis and Dama Rossa (pictured above). The new map is set in an area of Spain known as Albaicin of Grenada. The two new game modes are Escort (two teams of four must protect a VIP from the opposing team) and Assassinate (six to eight players in a timed, deathmatch round).
