What happens when you merge the animation quality of Studio Ghibli with a fantastic role-playing game experience? You get Ni No Kuni, one of the more charming JRPGs to emerge in recent years. While a sequel was unexpected, it wasn’t exactly unwelcome as fans prepared themselves for a journey into the Revenant Kingdom. Bad news: Said journey will have to wait a little bit longer, as Ni No Kuni 2 has been delayed from November 10 through to until January 19 in 2018.
Which isn’t a bad thing, considering how every game out this year seems to be targeting an October 27 release date this. Here’s the official word from developer Level-5’s president Akihiro Hino:
Ni no Kuni II has been postponed until Jan. 19, 2018. Watch this video from the President of LEVEL-5 Inc. for details on the delay and more. pic.twitter.com/E5jHoxTzer
