We expected new Amiibo from Nintendo this year – which have always borrowed a little from Activision’s Skylanders. Now, they’re kind of joining up.
Donkey Kong and Bowser are coming to Skylanders. Both have signature moves and vehicles within the new Skylanders SuperChargers. Here’s the magic thing; they work as Amiibo too – just by twisting the base to shield specific NFC bits. A Skylanders figure and a new Amiibo.
This is the sort of thing designed to steal parents money, and it may well work.
