EA’s Frostbite 3 engine, which is used for most of their next-gen titles, won’t be supported by the Wii U.
Guess they’re being left out in the… heat? This means that a range of big titles, such as Battlefield 4, Star Wars, the next Mass Effect and eventually Dragon Age 3 will not get released on the Wii U. Apparently, EA and DICE tested Frostbit 2 on the Wii U and was not happy with the results, thus choosing not to even bother porting the next version to Nintendo’s troubled tablet.
While this is a notable loss for the Wii U – further limiting an already limited library – EA games were not particularly a core part of Nintendo’s catalogue. In general, we expect a different kind of game, and playing style, on Wii U games.
That said, I’m sure they could use all the games they could get at this point.

Are all Ea games using Frostbite?
My faith in Wii U is still strong, this isn’t a big deal though, well I guess it is as there are a lot of BF players in the world … but come on … I’m waiting for the Xenoblade (Sequel?) , and more importantly …. FREAKING Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem!!!

The only EA Game worth playing right now is FIFA and NFS MW and those don’t use the Frosty Engine.

Actually, I stand to be corrected but I think they do, last NFS titles used the FB2 engine, cant see Fifa would be left in the dust using its own… to the GOOGLE MACHINE!

Nope, just seems NFS, Fifa uses the ANT engine.

NFS uses the Chameleon engine which is a pathetic engine to port over to PC.

Recent EA titles have left a lot to be desired, so I won’t be shedding any tears over this. ZombiU is an awesome game, and who else can still play Guitar Hero on their next-gen consoles?
