No exclusive characters for the Xbox 360 version of Mortal Kombat

When it was announced a little while back that we would be seeing Kratos in the PS3 version of Mortal Kombat I was quite excited to see who the Xbox 360 version would have.

I couldn’t see Marcus or Dom being much use in a Mortal Kombat game and while sam Fisher may have been perfect I really had my heart set on either Splosion Man or RROD Man.

RROD Man if you didn’t know is my attempt at bringing a computer character to the comic books, his super power obviously is being able to melt the internals of any electric device simply by looking at it and destroying young kids lives in the process. I am still waiting for approval from Microsoft but I expect that to arrive any day now.

However it seems that all my thinking was in vein as the developers have responded to a barrage of Twitter requests by stating

“The ONLY exclusive is Kratos to PS3”

So it looks like the 360 version isn’t getting anything special and if you have the choice then it would seem like the PS3 version would be a better value deal as you get that singular extra character.

What if they used that Ninja Locust fast MOFO from gears of war II? Would he have been too vague?

Yeah he would have been perfect but like you said far to vague.. they would want someone who is really a symbol of the console.

Who cares? Kratos doesn’t belong in the Mortal Kombat Universe. I’m glad the XBOX 360 version isn’t going to ruin the game.

Lol at Joeo1226! “ruin the game”…..

It is kinda sad, would’ve been a good opportunity to mix things up a bit, but rather they leave it all together than force someone that doesn’t really fit in.

Kratos feels right is the bloody and dark world of MK.

Xbox isn’t good enough to deserve MK in the FIRST PLACE, let alone have a system exclusive character. 360’s exclusive character should be a symbol of the console. A black head-to-toe suit with a Red Ring of Death on the chest as a logo. RRoD is to XBOX what Mario is to Nintendo, Kratos is to PS and Sonic was to Sega.

This is a tough one. I don’t think A spartan or a one of the cog soldiers would fit in the game. Maybe Ryu Hyabusa but he isn’t technically exclusive. I would suggest Raiden but he isn’t exclusive and there is already a Raiden.

I went through this list: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Xbox_360_games and I couldn’t find one exclusive character.

So how about the xbox version coming with armour, gear and fatalities we can attach to our avatars and do battle with them. Like Kratos it is not canon but it may be fun. They already adjusted the Avatars to look more proportional. This would be a great game for Kinect.

Ahhhhh…..this suck….oh well, my favorite character is anyway Scorpion. So i don’t mind that there is no Xbox character….although it would have been cool 🙂

I don’t see the point of a exclusive character… I don’t remember the old Sega Megadrive version of MK1 + 2 having special characters, and that made no difference to the game. All this is going to do is make that the majority of the players on PS3 will all choose Kratos when playing online, thus leading to having a lot of Kratos v Kratos fights 😛

I’ve heard somewhere on the rumour mill that Cliffy B is in negotiations with Netherealm Studios to bring a GOW character to the Xbox 360 version.
